Frank Calleja
Frank Calleja was born in Malta and grew up watching his parents work their land with farm horses. They were both innately skilled horse handlers and trainers. Frank and the rest of the family were expected to learn these skills and care, feed and work with the horses.
Frank's family emigrated to Australia when he was ten. It wasn't until he was 17 that he had the opportunity to get back to his interest in learning more about riding and training horses.
For many years Frank sought out the best instructors in Australia and achieved his dream of a career teaching riding and horse handling.
For 3 to 6 months of each year from the late '70's to the mid 90's Frank went overseas to study. He went all over the world seeking out the best instructors and trainers in all aspects of riding and horse training.
It was during these years that Frank designed his own unique easy to learn training programs.
This is the system of training and horse handling he teaches at Attunga.
